El tema de trabajo es la investigación teórica de materiales de gap fotónico basados en ópalos artificiales.
El posdoct se incorporara a un grupo interdisciplinar subvencionado por la UE, proyecto PHOBOS.
Se valorara el conocimiento previo de teoría de scattering.
El salario es de 250.000.- Pts. mes durante el primer año.

OFERTA DE CONTRATO DE INVESTIGACIÓN CON INCORPORACIÓN INMEDIATA

El Departamento de Ciencia y Tecnología de Materiales de la Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche ofrece un contrato para trabajar en el proyecto titulado "Obtención y propiedades de láminas delgadas de hidruros metálicos". Los candidatos deben ser licenciados en Física o en Química, o Ingenieros con especialidad en Materiales. Se valorará especialmente el título de Doctor. La duración del contrato es de seis meses renovables hasta la fecha de finalización del proyecto, el 31 de diciembre de 2001, y la dotación económica es de 4.500.000 pts brutas anuales.

BECA PREDOCTORAL

DENOMINACIÓN: "Turismo rural y desarrollo sostenible en áreas desfavorecidas andaluzas".

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL TEMA DE LA BECA: Se trata de analizar los impactos y conflictos ambientales que genera el turismo en los Espacios Naturales Protegidos, y de evaluar la capacidad de carga de esas Zonas para esa actividad.

OBJETIVO: Realizar la Tesis Doctoral en el tema señalado.

DURACIÓN: Tres años renovables anualmente, siendo posible una prórroga hasta un cuarto año.

DOTACIÓN ECONÓMICA: 180.000 pts/mes más dotación complementaria para asistencia a cursos, seminarios y congresos.

The Journal of Young Investigators (JYI) is a faculty and student reviewed, peer edited and published web journal advised by SCIENCE magazine. Groundbreaking in its approach, JYI is focused on the following objectives:

After having JYI successfully established in the United States we are now recruiting undergraduate scientists and undergraduate science manuscripts from all around the world. We ask you to support us by telling undergraduate students in your area of science about this exciting endeavour, about the possibility to publish their undergraduate research results and about the possibility to become involved in the whole process of scientific publishing.

I) RECRUITMENT OF UNDERGRADUATE SCIENTIFIC MANUSCRIPTS

JYI encourages all undergraduates to submit scientific articles for review and potential publication. JYI accepts submissions in the form of research or review articles in the following disciplines:

JYI's emphasis is on pure, rather than applied research, but all submissions will be considered for publication.

Please note that ALL submitted research manuscripts MUST but accompanied by letters from your research mentors authorizing your submission of work extending from projects associated with their labs. Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by JYI's undergraduate editors and their respective faculty advisors. When an article has been selected, it will be published online at JYI's web site. JYI publishes manuscripts tri-annually, which generally showcases submissions from the end of each semester of the college year and the end of the summer internship season (November, March, and July)
